Testing conditions for Cycle Club Ashwell riders at Eastern Cyclo-Cross League meet

Extremely wet and muddy conditions gave Cycle Club Ashwell’s racers their first true test of the season as the 11th round of the Eastern Cyclo Cross League took place in Bury St Edmunds.
The tough course didn’t dampen CCA’s determination with first places for both Samuel Quiggin in the U10’s and Jackie Field in the women/vet category.

Youth U14: Felix Field 2nd; James Fraser 4th; Archie Foulkes 9th; Thomas Ayres 17th; Alfie Duckett 19th. Women: Jackie Field 1st; Anna Fraser 12th. Vet 50+: Stuart Field 19th; Peter Daniels 24th; Daniel Doncaster 25th. Vet 40-49: Tim Duckett 46th; Richard Lawrence 60th.
At round seven of the Central Cyclo Cross League in Houghton Regis, Nathan Hardy took third in the U12’s. Ethan Storti placed fifth in the U10’s and Maizie Ross finished third in the U12 girls’ race.
