THE under-16 Templars scored four times against Biggleswade Town, yet still finished losers. James Puttrell was on target twice with Brendan Casey and Oliver Lee also on target. However, it was the visitors who finally took the points in a nine-goal thriller. In the mini soccer competition the under-10 Templars and Crusaders both enjoyed success against Wymondley Park. Goals from George Higginson, Elena Pisapia and Connor Doyle gave the Templars a 3-0 win over Wymondley's A team, while the Crusaders also hit three goals through William Budd, Corey Lockwood and Mark Rogers as they defeated the home sides B team 3-1. Not such good fortune for the Lancers who were beaten 4-0 at Melbourn Tigers. The under-11 Templars and Division One league leaders Herts Rangers fought out a close match with Rangers finally taking the points with a 2-1 win. Joe Frazer-Bossom was on target for the Templars. Both the under-12 Knights and Lancers were on the wrong end of heavy defeats with the Knights losing 8-0 at Symonds Green, the Lancers 8-3 at Bishop Stortford. It was a mixed set of results for the under-13 sides. In Division One Matthew Hooper and Jack Chatman were on target for the Templars, but their goals could not prevent visitors Apollo taking the points with a 4-2 victory. The Crusaders had a comfortable win over local neighbours Ashwell Academicals. Charlie Cree led the way by grabbing a hat-trick, while Reece Glasgow was on target twice. With George Geary and Callum Bishop also getting their names on the score sheet, the home side finally ran out 7-1 winners. It was honours even in the Division Four clash between the Knights and Bishop's Stortford Rovers as it ended 1- 1. The Knights strike coming via an own goal. In Division Two of the under-14s the Crusaders went down 5-1 to Letchworth Garden City Eagles, while the under-14 Lancers show no sign of slipping up at the top of Division Three thanks to another victory at Letchworth. Sam Frazer Bossom and fellow striker Joel Strickland took their combined total for the season to over 70 goals as they scored four and two respectively. With Sonay Casey also on target, the Lancers took another step towards promotion with a 7-3 win. In Division One of the under-15 league, the Saints picked up three welcome points, as goals from Charlie Green and James Farrar gave them a 2-0 win at bottom of the table Royston Town. After last weeks excellent result against Wymondley Park, the Templars will be disappointed to have returned from Arlesey Town 3-0 losers. In Division Two, the under-15 Crusaders continue to look for their second win of the season after losing 4-0 at Dunton. The under-16 Crusaders maintained second spot in Division 2 after securing a hard fought 2-2 draw with Harlow Town. James Ward and Connor Finan were the Crusaders scorers The under-17 Crusaders paid the price for missing several early chances, and although stand in goalkeeper Nicky Ryall was in superb form he could not prevent home side Sawbridgeworth Town finally running out 5-0 winners.
