THE under-13 Templars exited the county cup at the fourth round stage as two goals from Josh Camborne-Paynter could not prevent the Templars being on the wrong end of a 6-2 shoreline.

The under-seven A team dominated throughout in their match against Hatfield Youth and were unlucky not to add to goals from Harry Budge and Robbie Dewing as they recorded a 2-0 win.

The B team did even better as four goals from Sean Blyth and one each from Elliot Flynn and Owen Anderson gave them a 6-0 victory.

The under-10 Templars and Crusaders were both in goal-happy mood in their games against Biggleswade. Neil Blyth and Dean Brown were both on target twice for the Templars, and with further goals coming from Charlie Briggs and Joe Kingham, they ran out 6-0 winners. The Crusaders were not to be outdone as Daniel Bracken notched a hat-trick and Liam Heathcote and Nick Allin both scored twice as they defeated Biggleswade B by 7-1.

The under-10 Knights and Lancers had mixed fortunes in their matches at Biggleswade United. The Knights started the day with a 2-0 defeat by United's A team.

The Lancers faired much better, taking the lead when a superb shot by Ben Stevenson was deflected past the keeper with just three minutes on the clock.

The lead was doubled when Kier Boyd hit his 8th goal of the season with seconds of the half remaining. Although the home team reduced the lead mid way through the second half, Kier Boyd was on hand again to score his second of the match to make the final score 3-1.

After last weeks good result, the under-11 Knights were disappointed to slip to a 4-2 defeat at the hands of lowly Broadhall.

The under-12 Templars cruised into the next round of their League Cup as they beat Ashwell by 6-0. Sam Talbot recorded a hat-trick, while Jhai Dillon, Bonham Harper and Lewis Barker added further goals.

The under-12 Crusaders recent winning streak came to an end at Hormead Hares as they were beaten by 2-1, with Ben Rayner scoring their consolation goal.

The under-12 Knights put up a brave fight against a Stevenage Colts side who had previously won all their games this season.

The Colts soon found themselves 2-0 up before Baldock mounted a comeback. Chris Mutter laid on fantastic pass to Jordan Bright who made the score 2-1. While some great saves from Jordan Pope kept the Crusaders in the game, Jordan Bright popped up again level the scores at half time.

After the home side had again twice taken the lead, Jordan Bright was on hand to level the scores again to take his match tally to four, before the Colts finally clinched the points with a fifth goal.

Both the under-13 Knights and Lancers suffered defeats. Two goals from George Laurence were not enough to prevent the Knights going down 4-2 at Albion, while an Alex Maguire goal was the Lancers only consolation in a 6-1 defeat at Arlesey.

The under-14 Templars produced their best performance of the season as they defeated Saturn by 4-0. Oliver Crew scored twice with Tyron Saunders and Jack Chatman also on target. It was not such a good day for the under-14 Crusaders who finished up on the wrong end of a 7-1 score line against Letchworth.

The under-14 Knights recorded their biggest ever win as they demolished Hatfield Town by 11-0. There were hat-tricks for Jack Fidock and Jordan O'Neill while Billy Clarke claimed two goals. Axel Morris scored his first goal for the club, and further goals from Luke Gatward and Mark Harper ensured the Knights remain unbeaten at the top of Division Four.

The under-15 Lancers got back to winning ways at Albion. Sam Frazer-Bossom helped himself to a hat-trick, while Sonay Casey and Luke Farmer were also on target as the Lancers finished 5-3 winners

The under-16 Crusaders made hard work of reaching the next round of the League Cup as they finally overcame Biggleswade United. Josh Furness was on target four times while Alex Caple and an own goal finally gave the Crusaders a 6-5 victory.

The under-17 Crusaders slipped to a 4-0 defeat at Division 2 league leaders Stevenage Borough.

The under-18 Crusaders were no match for Bishop's Stortford on the day and slipped to an 8-2 defeat despite goals from Harry Holland and Joe Greenland.

Baldock Town Youth Templars U-11 2 Welwyn Pegasus 5

TEMPLARS bowed out of the county cup with a proud performance against a team who will be one of the favourites for the trophy.

Baldock were shocked after four minutes when Welwyn took the lead with a truly amazing goal, the striker using a reverse flick to score from a cross.

Connor Gray won a free kick and William Budd stepped up to pull Baldock level with a great shot into the top corner.

Mark Rogers made a good tackle to stop one Welwyn attack but the Royals pressure paid off, two goals in two minutes making it 3-1.

Captain Elodie Blanchfield, Corey Rodgers and player of the match Ryan Savage were making tackle after tackle at the back to hold Welwyn off.

Connor Doyle made a break down the right wing and his cross found Oliver Foster at the back post who scored his first goal of the season to bring Baldock back into the game. Welwyn continued to press forward and Alex Taylor had to make a string of saves before half time.

At 3-2 Baldock were still in the game, but just after the break Welwyn scored again to make it 4-2. Nicholson then made a good break and was brought down just outside the box.

Budd stepped up and seemed to have done it again with another great free kick, but somehow the Welwyn keeper made a save in the top corner.

A goal then may have been enough to give Baldock hope, but instead Welwyn broke away twice to wrap things up.
