Templars under-12s' hopes of reaching the quarter finals of the County Cup ended at Berkhamsted Raiders as the home side ran out 5-1 winners, with Joe Parker scoring a consolation goal. In the mini soccer competition there were mixed fortunes for the under-10 Templars and Crusaders at Bishop's Stortford Swifts. Templars found themselves on the wrong end of a 3-0 scoreline against the home side's A team, while a single goal from Connor Doyle saw the Crusaders to victory over Swifts B. A Jack Court goal was not enough to prevent the Knights slipping to a 2-1 defeat against Fairlands, while the Lancers continued their improved form with a fighting 3-3 draw with Fairlands B. A George Mardlin goal was the under-11 Crusaders' only consolation as they were defeated 4-1 at Austen Arrowheads in their Division Two clash. Both the under-12 Knights and Lancers found suffered big defeats in their league matches, the Knights going down 10-0 at Herts Rangers, and the Lancers 6-0 at Arlesey. In the under-13 league, the Crusaders went down 2-0 at Sandy, while the Knights and Arlesey fought out a 4-4 draw. The under-14 Knights continued their quest for the Division 1 title as goals from Thomas James, Chris Hogg and Jake Lyndsay-Smith gave them a 3-1 win at home to Harlow Town Rangers. Goals from Robert Badrick and Max Fletcher were not enough to prevent the under-14 Crusaders returning from Biggleswade Town on the wrong end of a 5-2 scoreline. Joel Strickland produced the individual performance of the day as he bagged five goals for the under-14 Lancers against JCA Youth. Jordan Pidock and Sam Frazer-Bossom were also both on target as the Lancers maintained their Division Three championship challenge with a convincing 7-0 victory. There were mixed fortunes for the two under-15 sides in the League Cup. The Templars fought their way through to the last eight with a close 4-3 victory at Harlow Town, thanks to two goals from Josh Furness and one each from Scott Lawrence and Thomas Gittens. But Saints failed to join them, as they were defeated 5-2 by favourites, Wymondley Park. In Division Two, the Crusaders produced one of their best displays of the season, and were unfortunate to find themselves on the wrong end of a 3-0 scoreline against Stevenage Borough Blues. The under-16 Templars welcomed back several players from long-term injuries, and started the second half of the season with a victory at Stevenage Borough Blues. Oliver Lee was in fine form, collecting a hat-trick, while James Puttrell was on target twice. With Cameron Brawley and Ryan Holt also on target, the Templars finally took the points with a 7-4 win. The under-16 Crusaders produced the performance of the day, inflicting a first defeat of the season on Bishop's Storford. Simon Vooght continued his pre-Christmas form by hitting a hat- trick., and with Jack Hargreaves scoring his first goal of the season, the Crusaders ran out comfortable 4-1 winners. Two defensive errors cost the under-17 Crusaders dear against Arlesey Town, enabling the visitors to take the points with a 2-0 victory.
