Knebworth Youth 3 Baldock Town Templars 5
Under-16s Division One
DAN Plumb made a triumphant return to the Templars with a second half hat-trick which inspired a big away win against tough opposition.
In an effort to reduce the fixture backlog both sides requested a fixture on this scheduled off day.
Olly Pride opened the scoring for the Templars but honours were even at half time as the hosts pulled a goal back.
Knebworth took a deserved lead at 2-1 on a bobbly pitch before Ben Farrar equalised and then Plumb, making his league debut following his return from academy exile in Stevenage and Stotfold, fired in two goals and converted a penalty to put Baldock 5-2 up.
Knebworth didn't give up and kept the game alive with a goal towards the end, but the match ended in a convincing scoreline which put the Templars back up to second in the league.
