Tannery Drift have progressed to the Herts Schools Games after claiming the Schools Partnership tennis title at Royston Tennis Club.
The first round of the Royston primary schools tournament took place two weeks prior with Tannery Drift, Icknield Walk, Studlands Rise, Roman Way, Therfield and Reed advancing to the School Partnership finals.
There the top five Royston teams then battled against the Buntingford schools finalists – Jenyns, Roger de Clare and St Thomas of Canterbury.
Thirty-two players competed for their schools across hundreds of matches, hosted by Matt Fellingham.
The standard was high with lots of exciting matches, but Tannery Drift were the overall winners of both rounds and will now face the best of Hertfordshire in the School Games on Thursday, June 30.
