NEW figures show that competitive swimming in North Hertfordshire is on the crest of a wave - as the area's top two clubs prepare to clash.
An impressive 130 youngsters are registered with Buntingford Swimming Club, with membership up by a third.
And Royston Swimming Club's membership has topped the 100 mark for the first time.
Both clubs will meet for the first time in three years, when swimmers take part in division three of the Hertfordshire Major League in the new year.
Buntingford will be making their league debut after some impressive displays in the summer Peanuts League.
