Current ladies captain Roz McKenzie and former skipper Elaine Knobel-Forbes maintained their two year unbeaten partnership in matches and competitions when they overcame Eilan Moses and Tina Broadley in the final of the Heydon Grange summer pairs foursomes competition.
Played on the Essex and Cambridgeshire courses, the pair were three down by the fourth hole and their impressive record appeared in jeopardy.
But a fightback saw the Moses/Broadley onslaught stemmed and the deficit was reduced to two down by the turn.
With the pair playing controlled golf, the pressure then transferred to Moses and Broadley as Knobel-Forbes and McKenzie won six of the first seven holes on the back nine to take the title 3&2.
