REED thirds' poor run continued as they lost out to Radlett fifths by 57 runs.

Having won the toss, Radlett chose to bat and Reed had to wait until a change of bowler before they had a breakthrough with Michael Robertson (8-0-52-2) bowling Dexter for 27.

Foyez (15) was then caught by Alan Ward off the bowling of David Hill (6-0-31-1), although Reed suffered a set back with Griffiths' confident 76 steadying the Radlett ship.

The hosts fought back with Alan Ward (7-0-40-1) and spinner Jason Pallett (11.4-1-55-4) adding some much-needed pressure as Radlett declared on 216 for 9 off 46.4 overs.

In reply, Reed lost Ben Bowles early on, but when Peter Baker (8) was joined by Robertson (31), the two put on 33 for the next wicket.

However, a succession of wickets fell, until Masseh Naeem (36) and Alan Ward (11) shared another challenging partnership of 42, with Martin (27) and Pallett (3 not out) also offering late resistance.

However, Reed fell to a disappointing 159 all out from 33.5 overs.
