THE eagerly-awaited East Anglia Spring Classic at Royston BMX Club fell foul of the weather on Sunday, with the track at Burns Road deemed too dangerous.
Phil Townsend of the club said: "The snow in the morning forced us to cancel the event in the interests of rider and spectator safety.
"The ice didn't clear until after midday and we had little option but to cancel the event."
The club are hopeful it can re-arrange the event for later in the season.
