Royston and District Angling Club's members took part in the Fur and Feather match in freezing conditions at Thriplow Reservoir on Sunday.
After breaking the ice and clearing the swims, the only fish that were taking the bait were small perch.
Steve McGuire won with a weight of 1 lb 13 oz, Mick Rivers was second with 15 oz, and George Joyce was third.
The real winner, however, was Meldreth Manor School which will benefit from the match proceeds which came to £80.
The clubs committee would also like to wish all its members a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
