Under-12s Division Four
The Whites went to Baldock Knights on Sunday and came a way with all three points to stay top of the Division Four.
On a very wet morning and on a sloping pitch, the visitors kicked off going uphill but Baldock started strongly with the wind and slope behind them.
The Cougars defence held well and at the other end their teammates pushed hard to get the opening goal.
It wasn't to be, and Baldock took the lead just before half time from a direct shot from a corner.
The Cougars never stopped pushing forward and within a minute of the second half man-of-the-match George Woods struck a 25 yard shot that flew into the back of the net.
With the Cougars now going downhill and with the wind behind them, there was no stopping them and Woods soon added a second.
Will Hewer added his side's third and Woods then completed his hat-trick with a fine finish inside the box.
Baldock pulled one back with a good finish but the Cougars came straight back with Ieuan Brierley finishing off a 6-2 victory.
