The 17-year-old paired with Olympic medalist Tom Daley for the 3m synchro event scooping silver on Friday, the competition was close with the pair leading at the half-way mark, but a strong performance by James Heatly and Sam Thornton secured them gold pushing Goodfellow and Daley down to second and silver.

The following day in the men’s 10m synchro, Goodfellow partnered Matthew Lee and again won silver with a score of 318.27, Charlie Wood and Lewys Oakley took gold with a total of 322.32.

However, after landing awkwardly on their final dive Goodfellow was taken to hospital for a check-up.

He was given the all clear to return to diving action on Sunday where he set a 10m platform personal best as he finished seventh, Daley won gold.
