Under-11s Division Three

GEORGE Storey continued his good form for Melbourn by bagging seven of their eight goals on a blustery day at Shepreth.

The Panthers were in control early on and after a foul on the impressive Robbie Dingwell with just two minutes on the clock Storey hit a superb curling free kick from 25 yards which gave the Arrowheads keeper no chance.

Two minutes later a great through ball from Tommy Hollway left Storey with just the keeper to beat to make it 2-0 and it was one-way traffic when Storey completed his hat-trick after 11 minutes with a pinpoint header from a curling Josh Hutton cross.

On 28 minutes Hollway ran on to a long throw by Ryan Lees and rounded two defenders before finishing with a curling right foot shot and the score remained 4-0 up until the interval.

Melbourn continued to dominate the early second half exchanges and with just one minute of the second half gone Sam Potterill made a strong run into the box only to see the 'keeper save his shot before Storey leapt towards the rebound and coolly tapped it in for his fourth.

The goal machine scored his fifth after a long goal kick by Conor Patel was brilliantly headed on by Hollway and four minutes later it was 7-0 when Storey completed his double hat-trick with a fierce show just inside the box.

Seven became eight when a Arrowheads goal kick was trapped by the youngster who finished with an accurate lob from 30 yards and although the Arrowheads scores two late goals the match undoubtedly belonged to one player.
