MORE than 30 junior rugby players from Royston received advice from visiting coaches last week.
Barry George, from New Zealand, and Hugo Lambrechts, from South Africa, who both have playing experience coaching in the Super 12, the southern hemisphere's premier club rugby competition, came to Royston to conduct a week's training camp
The players, aged between seven and 14, were taught a variety of skills and techniques, and a number of Royston Rugby Club's coaches turned up to observe and perhaps to learn a few new ideas.
This weekend sees the start of Royston Rugby club's senior teams pre-season matches. On Saturday, Royston's senior team host Cantabrigian Rugby Club in a trial game at the Heath Sports on Saturday, kick-off 3pm. Picture: DAN WILSON
