ROYSTON Golf Club was presented with the CAGU County Scratch League Two trophy at the CAGU biennial dinner last week.
Club captain Sid Seward was very proud of the team's performance and hopes the side can have a good run at the Division One title in 2010. Seward presented the award at the club to scratch captain Adam Woods.
Lyle Clark won the Junior Medal on Saturday in cold conditions and despite a 13 at his first hole he recovered to finish level par, edging out Alex Brain by just one shot.
Luke Bailey was third and Matt Graver fourth.
The Saturday Stableford was won by Pete Prentice with 36 points. The four-handicapper played some steady golf, recording five bogeys and just one birdie.
Steve Rogers finished second with 35 and Keith Taylor had 34 to take third spot.

Rogers and his playing partner, former captain Barry Rouse, stole the show on Sunday amassing 43 points in the Greensome's Stableford competition despite not scoring on the tenth hole.
They finished two points clear of Alan Lakey and Simon Thompson, who edged out Mial Walker and Pete Tidey on countback.
Walker and Tidey did however score two two's to pick up half the sweep.
Jenny Middlemass won the Ladies Medal on Thursday, finishing a stroke ahead of Mary Wilson.
