DESPITE being relegated to Division 2, the Royston Runners fought hard in their last meet of the season - and were determined to go out in style.

Taking part in the St Albans 10k road race, Karl Cable was the first male back for the The Crows, closely followed by Richard Lowden and Toby Staines.

The club's ladies also impressed, with Nicki Tyrell first home, followed by Libby Watson and Kate Nankivell.

As a result Tyrell finished third in the V35 overall category, with Paul Green third in the V50.

Dave Evans won the V70 category.
