Royston Town progress in Charity Cup after Cheshunt success

ROYSTON Town moved into the last four of the Herts Charity Cup with a fine 2-1 win at Cheshunt on Saturday afternoon.

Debutant Robbie Mason scored the first goal with an excellent strike on eight minutes and Craig Hammond added the second in the second half before Cheshunt grabbed a last-minute consolation from the spot.

Mason has signed for The Crows from Soham Town Rangers, where he netted 34 goals in 46 games last season.

ON Tuesday night Royston secured a fine 3-1 success against Calor Gas Premier Division outfit Arlesey Town.

Goals came from Mason, Mitch Bryant and Craig Hammond.
