ROYSTON Tennis Club has held its first club tournament of 2010.

The Ansmann Tournament is an annual event open to all adults and junior members of the club.

Ansmann Energy (UK) Ltd of Hoddesdon donated the Trophy and generously supplied prizes for all entrants.

Despite the blustery conditions, everyone had a great time and the winners were Sue Addison & Mike Fellingham (pictured) while Garry & Sam Tobiss finished runners-up.

The final matches of the Cambridgeshire Veterans League were played last month, with both first and second teams winning their respective matches.

The first team of Pru Burton, Christine Knight, Mike Fellingham & David Addison won 6-2 away to Saffron Waldon while the second team of Sue Addison, Kathryn Betts, John Holmes and Alan Knight beat St. Neots 7 - 1.

The summer season matches get underway in May with the Men's and Ladies Cambridgeshire League doubles. For full details of club membership, sessions & all events go to the club website at www.royston-tennis.co.uk new members welcome.
