Geoff Russell has set two new British records at Astley Park, Chorley, Lancashire.
The Royston Runner broke a record by running six hours on the road and also an outright record for beating the six-hour record on all surfaces.
In perfect weather conditions Russell ran 61.9km (38.5miles), beating his own record of 35.9 miles set at the same race in 2015.
Russell has been running ultramarathons for many years and trains most days, often twice a day, regularly amassing in excess of 100 miles a week on the roads around Royston.
