ROYSTON and Old Albanian under-15s combined forces on Sunday as they travelled to Stevenage.but went down 37-12.

Stevenage's greater cohesion won the day over the individual endeavours of the combined team, for whom Chloe Fisher and Lauren Brain stood out in the forwards with some crunching tackles, aggressive mauling and driving runs through the opposition pack.

In the backs, Hannah Jones, who scored their opening try with a superb outside break, Camilla Robinson had several good runs on the wing, and Ollie Haworth tackled and ran well.

Stevenage's star player and fly half opened the scoring with an outside break. Hannah Jones then equalised to show what the combined team could achieve, before the host's fly half scored again near the posts.

Another try by the Stevenage outside-centre before half time made the score 17-5 at the break.

In the second half, Stevenage scored four more unconverted tries against a solitary score by the combined teams scrum half, who opportunistically took a quick tapped penalty ten yards out and darted through a gap to score near the posts and convert her own try.
