WITH Royston playing the team that were relegated last season and not being at full strength, the match was always going to be difficult from the start.

The hosts looked sharp and were only prevented from scoring by some excellent defending from the Royston side. By half time there had been no score and that gave Royston the hope of a better second half.

The second half had Royston under even more pressure but once again the defence held well with some fine saves from the keeper.

Winchmore & Enfield eventually found the Royston goal half way through the second half to seal the points.
