THE Portable Shade Top Fuel Bike of King Racing took top honours when rider Ian King reset the track record and was crowned `King of Mosten' at the recent Mosten Raceday in Allingåbro, Denmark.
And with hundreds of competitors taking part it was the Royston ace that came out on top to add to his growing trophy cabinet.
King out-gunned his rivals and with an eye on the European Finals, crew chief Michael Beaumont proposed a change in gearbox ratio to improve the 60 foot and 1/8 mile times and the team set about making the change before the final run.
The decision was vindicated with King immediately setting new personal bests in 60ft and 1/8 mile times, and recording a new track record for bikes.
