ROYSTON Town suffered a 3-0 home defeat to Southern Football League Premier Division side Cambridge City on Tuesday night.

First half strikes from Dave Theobald and Milton Elenge effectively killed of the match before half time before the third goal of the evening came through an injury-time penalty courtesy of David Kolodynski.

The defeat is perhaps not surprising given that Paul Attfield’s side get back to competetive action tonight (Wednesday) when they take on Hoddesdon Town in the Herts Charity Sheild.

The match kicks off at Garden Walk at 7.45pm.
