THE seventh round of the East Anglia BMX 2010 Summer Series moved to the home track of the Norwich Flyers BMX Club last Sunday with over 100 competitors taking part.

THE seventh round of the East Anglia BMX 2010 Summer Series moved to the home track of the Norwich Flyers BMX Club last Sunday with over 100 competitors taking part.

Royston Rockets had 18 riders taking part across all age classes starting with the under-7 novices where Royston’s Callum Barrow took the first place with Brendan Salmon finishing in third while in the 8-year Expert category Alfie Salmon finish in second, as did Ted Dalleywater in the year above.

The 10-year class saw the Rockets lead the pack all day with Miles Fisher grabbing another win just ahead of team mate Daniel Blanche and the same results were achieved for the club in the 11-year class with Ethan Vernon taking the win ahead of Aaron Daslleywater in second.

The 12 year category saw Matthew Harris claim seventh overall and another win came Royston’s way in the 14-year class where James Handleigh led the class all day.

In the 15’s, third place went to Jordan Godfrey, as did Andrew Brooker in the 16’s.

Royston’s Faye Godfrey took third in the 11-12-year girl’s group while Helen Nicholl went one better with a second placed finish in the 25+ Ladies Cruiser Class as did David Thompson in the 25-29 category.

Alex Shore-Nye finished fourth in the Masters (30+) Class while Darren Forman won the Vets Class. Matt Salmon took third in the 35-39 class.
