THERE were mixed results for Royston Rockets as they battled it out in the fourth and fifth rounds of the National Summer Season.

Kelly Newall got Royston's action underway, and rode superbly to take eighth place in Sunday's A Final, while in the seven-year class Josh Peters took two fifth place finishes on the Saturday and Sunday.

Also competing in the seven- year Class, Ted Dalleywater finished eighth and sixth.

In the eight-year Class Ethan Vernon took second in the A finals on both days, and in the nine -year class, Bradan Blanche was eighth in Saturday's B final.

However, Aaron Dalleywater made the main final on both days with fifth and sixth place finishes in the 11-12 year class.

James Handleigh took a fall in the A final on Saturday to finish eighth, but bounced back on Sunday to finish third.

In the 19+ men's class, Jonathan Roberts took sixth and seventh in the B final of one of the biggest classes at the event, while in the junior female class, Katie Roberts was fifth and third in her A finals.

On Sunday Dave Godfrey started his season off in style by claiming third spot in the A final, and in the Elite class more success came Royston's way, with Laurence Mapp taking second and third in the main final to begin the defence of his national title.

Sunday June 1, sees Royston host the re-arranged Spring Classic at their home track in Burns Road from 10am-4.30pm.
