THIRTEEN-year-old Alex Raine shone as a trio of Bassingbourn Village College swimmers took on the best in Bedfordshire.
The youngster was one of the stars of the 2007 Bedfordshire County Championships at Biggleswade throughout March.
He came away with a clutch of individual golds and was ranked third in his age group.
Ellie Mason, 13, picked up two relay golds and was ranked overall 10th. Millie Farmer, 12, secured two top-ten spots and was ranked overall 14th.
Alex's sister Hannah, 16, who left Bassingbourn in the summer, also sparkled - collecting gold in a series of events.
The youngsters live near Royston but swim for Biggleswade Swimming Club and the Mid Beds Swim Squad, also based at Biggleswade.

Alex Raine, Mason, and Hannah Raine, are now looking forward to the 2007 eastern regional championships in Norwich later this year.
