Bassingbourn boss Geoff Mills has targeted Cambridgeshire County League Newmarket Motor Company 3A promotion for his side this season.

They currently sit second in the division, four points behind leaders Eaton Socon but with three games in hand.

Bass have won 15 of their 16 competitive matches this season and Mills hopes the good form can spur them to promotion.

Mills told the Crow: “I want to take top spot by mid-February if possible.

“Also with two quarter-finals to look forward to in 2016 this season has all the makings of one of the most successful in the club’s history.

“The priority is promotion and anything else will be a welcome bonus.”
