Plumb carded 42 stableford points with Sweeting agonisingly second in the event where all proceeds go to charity.
The Grace Darling charity stableford competition is another popular event and it was great to see the trophy going to a club junior.
Francis Shilton came out on top with a magnificent 45 points.
Second place went to Simon Bradfield with 41 points while Jeffrey Hunt (40 points) took third.
Meanwhile, Simon Thompson got back to winning ways with victory in the May medal when he carded a six-under par 64 to take first place by one shot from Mark Pearson.
In the Texas Scramble event, where teams of four all play from the best previous shot location, the winners of the gross score competition were the team consisting of Graham Richardson, John Johnson, Will Cooper and Robert Hart with their round of 65.
