Grampian 2 Foxton 5
FOXTON made it 10 games unbeaten on Saturday with a slightly flattering 5-2 victory at Grampian.
The game started perfectly for Foxton as they took the lead within the first five minutes of play, Chris Aristo the scorer as he pounced on a loose ball within the box rounded the goalkeeper and coolly slotted home from an acute angle.
However the good start was not maintained as a seemingly complacent Foxton allowed Grampian to come back strongly as they tried to get on level terms, although they still hardly troubled the away goalie.
Foxton although playing lethargically did manage to create some chances for themselves, all somehow falling to Sean Audley, who could not find the target.
The second half was not much better in terms of performance from Foxton and they duly paid, as Grampian took a 2-1 lead 15 minutes after the restart.

Both goals the result from some good play from the home team's forward line, who served some dangerous crosses and finished equally as well from inside the six yard area.
This gave Foxton the motivation they were previously lacking and they started to fight back into the match, but it was not until the introduction of long term injury absentee Conrad Welsted that they were able to equalise.
Welsted made an immediate impact heading in an Andy Gray long throw with his first touch in Foxton colours since August.
Foxton then began to create more chances, but as in the first half they were falling to Audley who could just not find the target with any of his efforts.
It was left to Duncan Handscombe who restored Foxton's lead with a sublime finish, curling the ball into the far corner from 25 yards as he turned outside the area.
This was the signal for the struggling home team to give up and in the last 10 minutes Foxton went on to score two more goals.
The first came as Iain Tokley ran onto a good Welsted pass before neatly wrong footing the keeper, then this was followed soon after by the hard working Fields who latched on to a clever Ally Flack through-ball which split the defence, he calmly finished.
Cottered Res 0 Royston Town A 2
THE Crows displayed yet another side to their game with this patient, controlled and determined win against a surprisingly resilient and hard working Cottered side.
The home side started the game in a slightly bullish mood which Royston coped with through sheer hard work and a very high level of defensive skill and concentration which was well marshalled by the returning Chris Free.
The Crows main attacking threat was always supplemented by youngster Aaron Williams making his long awaited debut with some aplomb and adding a freshness to the side.
As time began to run out, Adam Stokes was pulled deeper and the more direct Lee Bates introduced, and with 10 minutes left Royston took a deserved lead, Bates rising highest in a crowded area to head home a long Danny Crosk throw in.
Moments after the restart and with the home side still reeling from the goal Stokes showed both skill and strength to hold off four challenges before firing a low drive home securing all the points which will help towards a serious title challenge.
