Royston Celtic U-11 3
CELTIC produced an outstanding team performance to beat a very good Letchworth side.
Both teams started strongly with half chances being created at both ends with both keepers performing well, but Celtic broke the deadlock midway through the first half when Anthony Lane latched onto a long ball from Ollie Sole to outrun the home defence and cleverly chip the home keeper.
Letchworth fought back strongly but conceded a second goal close to half time when Dom McOmish nodded home after a good cross from Liam Tidey.
After the interval, the home side started strongly and their persistence paid off when they beat the Celtic keeper with a deflected shot.

This inspired Letchworth who began to put real pressure on Celtic but the back four of Bailey, Walsh, Woods and Campbell were superb.
An enthralling match was put beyond Letchworth in the closing minutes when Liam Tidey cut in from the right and slotted home from the edge of the area.
