There was disappointment for Royston motorbike rider James East who crashed out of the Pirelli National Superstock 1000 Championship at Snetterton 300 on Sunday.
East, on the Brabus/Opus Kawasaki, was keen to get on the track after the long break from round 2 at Oulton Park.
He was riding well on Saturday and after putting in some good times qualified on the fifth row for Sunday’s feature race.
Determined to improve on the two previous race finishes, East started in 15th position and put in a good start, but lost a couple of places in the rush to the first bend.
Once again under pressure, he was struggling to make progress and moved into 13th place on lap six and hit oil deposited by another bike at Palmers Bend and crashed out along with TT senior runner-up Conor Cummins and Dan Johnson.
The race was red flagged and later re-started but the due to bike damage East was unable to race.
The Championship moves to Knockhill for round four on June 29.
