South Herts Ladies 4

ROYSTON started strongly with good communication throughout the team and the hard work paid off when Lize Botha played a great through ball finding Martine Powley who slotted home from a tight angle to give Royston their first goal of the season.

Royston played a tight game and the team continued to play great hockey.

Royston conceded an unlucky goal just before half time but however this did not dampen their spirits.

They came at well again in the second half but South Herts stepped their game up and Royston conceded three further goals to leave the score 4-1.
