Royston Bowling Club's teenage ace Matthew Coppen received his English Bowling Association junior singles championship blazer from Royston and District Sports Council chairman Ken Charles.
Matthew will represent England in the British Championships at Edinburgh in June.
Arthur Meeson of the EBA presented Matthew with an official pennant, which will be hung in the clubhouse.
Also present were Alan Potter, the 1998 Hertfordshire BA president, and currently HBA North area chairman, and Royston president Colin Wilson.
Matthew's achievement is the first National EBA junior playing honour at the club since its formation in 1934.
