The second period saw Greneway's new five carry on the hard work of their team-mates as they sprung many excellent attacks.

Priory tried bravely to weather the storm but could find little penetration as Greneway dominated all phases and half time was reached with Greneway having fought back to lead 24-18.

The third quarter saw Priory rally as they chased the game but Greneway responded with some excllent team basketball and the period ended with the match poised at 47-30 in Greneway's favour.

The Priory School were guilty of a nervous last quarter but were still able to claw their way to just six points adrift, but in the final moments Grenway played keep ball to use up the clock and they eventually ran out winners.

Coach Terry Graves said: "Priory had one outstanding player who scored 40 points and he nearly won the match for them but fortunately our greater strenght in depth and wondeful team spirit were the deciding factors in the end.
