STEEPLE Morden chalked up their fifth consecutive league win with a 4-1 victory over Hundon Reserves.

The first goal came in humorous circumstances when Hundon's goalkeeper ran out to collect Ben Holt's looping cross only to misjudge the flight of the ball, grasp at thin air and looked on in despair as the ball bounced over the line.

Within ten minutes Steeple Morden had doubled the lead, once again from the boot of Holt who utilised his pace to latch on to a good through ball from midfield and powered the ball passed the advancing keeper.

Early in the second half Hundon reduced the arrears much to manager Kenny Watters' anger, but the home side then upped their game.

Frankie Berry ensured he remains top of the goal scoring chart for the division when he powered the ball through the goalkeepers' legs, and Dominic Holt scored his third of the season with the goal of the game.

Following some fancy footwork from Charlie Prothero, Holt hit a thunderbolt from 30 yards that the Hundon shot stopper had no time to react too.

Hundon were awarded a penalty late in the game following a shove from Martin Holt, but veteran goalkeeper Tim Tidey once again showed he is having an Indian summer with a fine save to his right.
