Opening bowlers Rupert Martin and Kallum Ward took the attack to Letchworth, but it was the introduction of skipper Jason Archer that turned the tide.

Archer blew his opponents away with career best figures of 7-17, including a hat trick, as Letchworth slumped to 107 all out.

The visitors hit 144-9 from their allotted overs, with Macceson hitting 56 and Alex West (8-3-10-2) the best of the bowlers.

In reply, Chris Gilman hit 48 and P Bater hit 36 for Reed, then John Kershaw (15) helped them over the line.

Reed once again failed with the bat as they fell as they fell to defeat against Cheshunt II.

Richard Robertson was on form with the ball, taking a marvellous six wickets in his marathon 18 over spell, but Cheshunt had set a decent target.

In reply, Reed lost John Heslam (4) and Will Heald (0) early and only Matt Bowles (a blistering 67) had any success with the bat as they 41 runs short.

Reed IV lost at Chiltern 06 by nine wickets.

REED IV suffered another defeat when the young side met Chiltern 06.

Reed batted first and George Garrott (39), Darren Radford (27) and Paul Garrott (17) helped them to 124 in the 46th over.

In reply the hard hitting Chiltern batsmen reached their target in only the 18th over for the loss of one wicket as Horwood made 53 and Fasal hit 67.

Had Reed been more positive, then there could have been the possibility of an upset but unfortunately there were far too many drop catches to be able to defend such a low total.
