IN THE county cup, both the under-12 Templars and Crusaders bowed out of their competition. The Templars will be kicking themselves for allowing a 3-1 lead to slip against Potters Bar Crusaders.

Two first half goals from Bonham Harper and one from Jhai Dillon had put the home side in control before the Crusaders fought back in the second half to reach the next round with a 6-3 win.

The Crusaders had no complaints at the outcome of their match at Gosling Youth, as a strong home side ran out 5-0 winners.

There will be an under-12 side representing Baldock in the next round however, as the Knights were awarded a walk over when their opposition Evergreen were unable to raise a team.

In contrast both under-14 sides progressed to the next round of their competition. The Templars had a comfortable 3-0 win over Harpenden Colts, with two goals from Luke Hennessey and a James Graham strike.

The Knights also reached the next stage by coming from 2-1 down at half time to finally go through by 3-2 against Potters Bar Crusaders. Mark Harper with two and Jack Fidock scoring the goals.

The under-17 Crusaders bowed out of the under-18 competition against a year older EBOG Youth side. Connor Finan grabbed the consolation goal for the home side.

In league action, two goals from Charlie Briggs and a goal each from Neil Blyth, Jonathan Harris and Joe Kingham kept the under-10 Templars unbeaten record in tact as they defeated Broadhall A by 5-1. The Crusaders were not as lucky as a Lewis Archer goal was not enough to prevent them slipping to a 2-1 defeat against Broadhall B.

The under-10 Knights remain top of their league after a 3-1 win over Albion, while the Lancers found themselves on the wrong end of a 5-0 score line against Stevenage Celtic.

The under-11 Templars produced the biggest win of the day at Melbourn Tigers. George Higginson also produced one of the best individual scoring performances of the weekend by hitting four goals.

There was a hat-trick for man-of-the-match William Budd, while Mark Rogers also claimed two goals and Connor Doyle one as the rampant Templars ran out 10-1 winners.

A single goal was enough to give Stotfold the points against the under-11 Lancers

A spirited second half comeback by the under-13 Templars earned them a point against last season's runners up Buntingford Cougars. The Templars came storming back from being two goals down at the break to snatch a 2-2 draw through goals by Josh Camborne-Paynter and James Canning.

The under-13 Knights recorded their first victory of the season as they beat Bishop's Stortford Rovers by 8-3. Charan Basra was another player to score four goals, while both Jordan Davis and George Laurence were on target twice.

The under-13 Lancers returned empty handed from Buntingford, as the Cougars ran out 4-0 winners.

Baldock under-15 girls travelled to Northwood Ladies boasting a record of three wins from as many games. From the first blow of the whistle Baldock took control of the game and within the first few minutes of the game Shemika Holloway scored the opening goal.

Within minutes Owny Farrell found the back of the net to double the advantage. With confidence growing Owny found the net once again and with Natasha Little adding two more goals and Sophie Fye getting her name on the scoresheet Baldock finally ran out 6-2 winners to remain top of the league.

The under-15 Knights remain unbeaten as they and Knebworth fought out a 2-2 draw.

The under-15 Lancers maintained their perfect record with a 5-2 victory at Buntingford Cougars. Luke Farmer and Sam Frazer-Bossom were both on target twice while Daniel Newton added a fifth.

A weakened under-16 Crusaders never recovered from a disastrous opening twenty minutes when they conceded four goals.

Rob Cooke pulled one back from the penalty spot before the break, and although they matched Stotfold blow for blow in the second half the home side finally took the points by 5-1.
