THE senior section of Royston Golf Club celebrated its 20th anniversary with a special competition.
Peter Mitchell won with a score of three up, with Fred Wilding second and Gavin Williams third.
They were presented with their trophies by founder member and former senior captain Bruce Symes.
The competitors were joined in the clubhouse by a number of past captains and founder members, including 92-year old Alf Viney.
Fred Wilding narrowly beat Jim Hopkins by one point in the midweek golfers monthly stableford to qualifiy for the matchplay knockout.
Adam Woods and Trevor Deards won the Sunday stableford, with Woods hitting two twos and three birdies in a fine morning of 43 points.
The pair beat Dave Shaw and Simon Thompson by one shot, with Paul Prentice and Graham Toby third.
