The Red Buntingford Baseliners convincingly won their first tennis match in the Red Indoor Hertfordshire League against Cuffley on Saturday, 97-43.
The team consists of Jonathan Lancaster, Felix Morris, Frankie Limmer and Ellie Savage and player played two singles and one doubles match.
Once the players have competed at this Red level of Mini-Tennis, which is played on a badminton sized court, they will all go onto to compete at Orange level which is played on a normal tennis court but with a baseline brought forward three metres.
Then the Buntingford players will struggle to compete against these larger clubs as they do not have the facilities that the other club players do.
Hopefully that will soon be in the past if the plans for a Buntingford Tennis Club come to fruition in 2008.
