Meldreth diver Dan Goodfellow will partner London 2012 bronze medallist Tom Daley in the men’s 10m synchronised at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games following the GB squad announcement this morning (Friday).
Goodfellow, making his Olympic debut this summer, is one of 11 divers to have been chosen to represent GB in Brazil.
The 19-year-old and Daley have been making a splash in the run-up to the Games with the pair having won 10m synchro gold at the British Diving Championships last weekend and silver in the same event at May’s European Aquatics Championships.
Today’s announcement brings the total number of selected athletes to 148 from 12 sports with the aquatics team now finalised following the announcement of the 26 pool, two open water and two synchronised swimmers.
