FIVE minutes of madness gifted this Division 2A fixture to the home side.
Melbourn started reasonably brightly seeing the home keeper having to pull off a save to keep his side in the match, following a good header from Russell Cooper.
However, shortly after, Melbourn's defence was in disarray and Duxford took the lead.
Within minutes of the goal, Ashley Bryan gave away a penalty following a crunching tackle and more defensive errors provided the third.
At half-time Melbourn rallied and put on an excellent effort to capture something from the game. Bryan and Fergus Lury excelled in defence and a combination of Kris Watters, Andy Richardson, Mark Wagstaff and Michael Williams worked very hard to lift their side in the pursuit of a point.
