Three Melbourn Judo Club members have retained their places in England’s 2015 squad.
Imogen Ranner and Matthew Boyce, who represented the country at pre-cadet band last year, have now moved up to the cadet age band while Emma Reid, ranked number two UK junior, will again compete at both junior and senior levels.
Ranner and Boyce, both 14, picked up medals at last December’s junior British Championships in the pre-cadet category and will now hope for success at the higher level.
Meanwhile, Reid, also ranked fourth in Great Britain’s senior ranking list, has had a successful final month of the year.
The 19-year-old won silver at Sheffield’s junior British Championships in the U70kg grade before beating the world junior silver medalist to win bronze in the senior British Championships at the same weight.
