BIRTHDAY boy Eddie Collins hit an unbeaten century as Barley II beat Cokenach II by 84 runs.
Barley batted first and made a solid start, with Phil Hastings (15) and John Heslam (21) putting on 40 for the first wicket.
Collins, who was celebrating his 63rd birthday, came to the crease after the fall of the second wicket, and struck some lusty blows on his way to a score of 129 not out.
With support from the likes of Adam Pattison and Jerry Carlisle, he helped Barley to a total of 228 for 5.
In reply, Cokenach made a brisk start, but Elliot Bonnett took three wickets to curtail their progress.
Some assiduous bowling and fielding from 13-year-old James Hopkinson Hughes, who took two wickets and three catches, reduced the score to 111 for 6 at the half-way point.
Collins then wrapped up the innings, taking three of the last four wickets to fall, as Cokenach were dismissed for 144 inside 28 overs.
