ASHWELL Academicals under-six manager John Connolly has praised the club's talented young girl players.
At the club's presentation evening Connolly said: "We have a mixed boys' and girls' team, and I have to say that some of the girls look like they could be up and coming future England players!"
He added: "It's a great club, with a friendly family atmosphere - win or lose - and a great sense of community spirit."
The Accies have also been presented with their new training kit, by sponsors Schwick Rhubarb Inns, owners of the Rose & Crown pub.
Rebecca Duncan, from the company presented the awards, as well as new shower jackets to add to the team's kit bags.
