LITTLINGTON'S solid start to the season continued at the weekend with a convincing win at Fulbourn Institute Reserves.

The visitors started well, firing in plenty of shots on goal.

And their pressure was rewarded in the 15th minute when Rob Tyler's corner was deflected into his own net by a Fulbourn defender.

Terry Woods, Josh Murphy, and Pete Jackson all tested the keeper as Littlington continued to press.

It was Jackson who eventually doubled their advantage with a precise lob from 20 yards.

And it was 3-0 just before half time, when a fine passing move culminated in a close range finish from Ian Ruggles.

Fulbourn got back into the match after the break, but the Littlington back five were in determined mood and effectively restricted their opportunities to shoot.

Woods got a fourth goal for the visitors, latching on to a neat pass from John Hanson and driving the ball past the keeper.

The Littlington defence continued to look assured, and dealt with several attacks comfortably to secure their first clean sheet of the season.

This weekend Litlington have a cup match at Linton Granta Reserves.
