Royston boxer shows his potential

BOXER Levi Raymond won his 21st amateur fight recently.

The Royston boxer, of Stevenage ABC, headed over to East Ham for his bout with Jabran Butt of Finchley ABC. His opponent was noticeably taller and stockier but this didn’t faze Raymond who has already competed in two national finals in the last 12 months.

Raymond boxed well in the first round and took an early lead but he stepped up a gear in the second and caught Butt with a sharp right hook which rocked his opponent.

Raymond stayed strong in the third and final round and in the end proved too fit for his London opponent and won on a unanimous decision.
