THE first match in the Royston and District Angling Club President's Cup was held at Thriplow Reservoir on Sunday, in conjunction with Rugby Cement AC and Eternit AC.
The winner was Tim Lee (Eternit ) with 18lbs 1oz, with Royston & Eternit's Alan Gypps fourlb behind in second place. with 14 lbs 1oz.
Peter Rainbow (Royston & Eternit) finished In third place was with 12lbs 9oz, ahead of Chris Rule (Royston, Rugby & Eternit ) with 7 lbs 11 oz.
The next match will be the Evening League on Friday, with the draw will at 5.30pm and fishing will be from 6-9 pm.
