Royston Town fell to a 2-1 defeat at AFC Hayes on Saturday with the hosts winner coming in the 89th minute.
The Crows had taken an early lead in the Calor Southern League Division One Central clash through Kaan Fehmi.
However, the scores were level at the break with Tony Mendy equalising for Hayes.
It was Mendy who was to be the match-winner netting his second of the afternoon late on to secure the three points for the home side and leave Royston outside of the play-off places.
Town are back on the road on Saturday away at Slough Town.
