LITLINGTON recorded their first clean sheet of the year as they won at Barton.

Their first goal came was an extraordinary piece of good luck when a defender mis-kicked his clearance back towards goal and the spin took the ball past the keeper.

Ashley Hawkins' side got their second when Afser Choudhury hit a rebound into an empty net after James Evans had volleyed against the bar following a long punt by Litlington's keeper Bonfield.

Litlington played the second half against the wind and for long spells were on the back foot but Barton couldn't score.

Litlington finally put the game to bed when Evans and Paul Harris combined for Harris to score his 16th of the season.

Hawkins said: "My boys were brilliant today from start to finish. I must single out Craig Ellis for special mention as he played the full 90 minutes even though he was suffering with a flu like virus."

Litlington: Bonfield, Hawkins, Ellis, Boot, Rutter, Choudhury, Cottiss, Vasilli, Butler, Evans, Harris.
